Michael Pape, Julia Moore, and Mary Evans Appointed by Governor Fletcher; Four Others Reappointed

Frankfort, KY: Governor Ernie Fletcher announced today the appointment of Michael Pape of Hopkinsville, KY, Julia Moore of Russell, KY, and Mary Evans of Bowling Green, KY, to the Kentucky Advisory Council for Gifted and Talented Education.

Michael Pape is currently the District Director for US Congressman Ed Whitfield and also serves as the President of the Christian County Literacy Council. Julia Moore is the Gifted Education Coordinator/Teacher for the Russell Independent Schools. Moore also serves for numerous social and civic organizations including the National and Kentucky Associations for Gifted Children, the Kentucky Association of School Administrators and the Kentucky Association of Professional Educators. Mary Evans is an elementary principal in the Warren County schools. Evans is a member of the National and Kentucky Associations for Gifted Children and the National Association of Elementary School Principals.

Governor Fletcher also announced the reappointment of Jan Lanham of Gravel Switch, KY, Laurie Ann Walton of Florence, KY, Bobbie Jo Henry of Elizabethtown, KY, and Charlene Beasley of Paducah, KY to the Council.
