| Tony J. Stoeppel Appointed by Governor Fletcher
Frankfort, KY: The Office of Governor Ernie Fletcher announced today the appointment of Tony J. Stoeppel of Lexington to the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education. Stoeppel will be representing a student at a state institution of postsecondary education.
Stoeppel is currently a graduate student at the University of Kentucky Martin School for Public Policy and Administration and also works as a Senior Investment Associate at Clearbrook & Co. Ltd. Stoeppel is a graduate of the University of Kentucky where he studied Agricultural Engineering and Public Policy. As an undergraduate student, Stoeppel was a member of the UK Student Government and Kentucky 4-H.
The council coordinates change and improvement in Kentucky’s postsecondary education system as directed by the 1997 Kentucky Postsecondary Education Improvement Act.
The Council on Postsecondary Education was established in 1997 as a 15 member board with 12 citizens, one faculty member, and one student appointed by the Governor. The Commissioner of Education is an ex-officio member.
