| Lt. Gov. Pence underwent hip replacement surgery July 31st
Frankfort, KY: Lieutenant Governor Steve Pence underwent hip replacement surgery Saturday, July 31st at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. The Lieutenant Governor is now recuperating at his home in Louisville. He will work from Louisville for the next two weeks.
His surgeon, Dr. Arthur Malkani of Louisville, said Lt. Governor Pence can expect a full recovery. Pence said he expects to be back in his Frankfort office, at least on a part-time basis, by August 16th.
Lt. Governor Pence broke his right leg in a skiing accident in 1982. The residual from that injury worsened over the past year, requiring the surgery.
