Governor Ernie Fletcher appoints member to the Gas System Restoration and Development Project Account Review Board

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Ernie Fletcher has appointed W. D. Childers, of Whitesburg, as the newest member of the Gas System Restoration and Development Project Account Review Board. 

Childers is the president of Childers Oil Company. He graduated from Pikeville College with a degree in commerce and from the University of Kentucky with a degree in education.  He is a trustee of Pikeville College. 

The Gas System Restoration and Development Project Account Review Board is made up of seven gubernatorial appointees. The board approves gas restoration projects or development projects that require the use of the funds of the gas system restoration or development project account.
