Governor Fletcher makes appointment to the Board of Licensure for Nursing Home Administrators
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Ernie Fletcher has appointed Manuel L. Brown, Jr., M.D., of Louisville, as the newest member to the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Nursing Home Administrators.
Dr. Brown is the medical director for Rehab Management Services, Inc. He received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry and his doctorate of medicine from the University of Louisville. He is a member of the Kentucky Medical Association, the Jefferson County Medical Society, the American Medical Directors Association and the Kentucky Geriatric Society. He is married to Deborah Jo Brown.
The Kentucky Board of Licensure for Nursing Home Administrators is made up of 10 members, nine of whom are appointed by the governor. The board develops, imposes and enforces standards that must be met by individuals in order receive a license as a nursing home administrator.
