Governor Ernie Fletcher appoints members to the Kentucky Board of Veterinary Examiners
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Ernie Fletcher has appointed Samuel B. Vaughn, D.V.M.., of Crestwood, and Deborah L. Shoulders, D.V.M., of Bowling Green, as the newest members to the Kentucky Board of Veterinary Examiners.
Dr. Vaughn is veterinarian with the Veterinary Associates of Stonefield. He received his bachelor’s degree from Morehead State University and his doctor of veterinary medicine from Auburn University. He is a member of the American Association of Zoo Veterinarians, the Association of Amphibian and Reptile Veterinarians, the Association of Avian Veterinarians, the Kentucky Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. He is married to Kelly Vaughn.
Dr. Shoulders is a self-employed veterinarian. She received her bachelor’s degree from Western Kentucky University and her doctor of veterinary medicine from Auburn University. She is a member of the Kentucky Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Society of Theriogenology and the American Association of Bovine Practitioners. She is married to Mark Shoulders.
The Kentucky Board of Veterinary Examiners has eight members, all appointed by the governor. The board is to regulate and control the licensing and conduct of veterinarians within the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
