FRANKFORT, Ky. - Governor Ernie Fletcher has appointed Sandy Day Hogg, of Neon, and reappointed Reecie Stagnolia, of Cumberland, to the Southeast Community and Technical College Board of Directors.

Hogg is the director for Community Education for the Letcher County Board of Education.    She is a graduate of Morehead State University, where she earned a master’s degree in education. She is married to Paul Hogg.

Reecie Stagnolia is the former Superintendent for the Harlan County school system, and now serves as a branch manager for Commercial Bank of Cumberland.  Stagnolia is a graduate of Cumberland College, the University of Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky University.  He is president of the Tri-City Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Heritage Commission of Cumberland.  This is Stagnolia’s second appointment to the board. He is married to Martha Stagnolia.

The members of the Southeast Community and Technical College Board of Directors are selected from a list of names submitted to the Governor by the Southeast Community and Technical College Nominating Commission.  The board is responsible for adopting and implementing an annual budget, approving budget requests and evaluating the functions of the school and the school’s staff.
