Governor Ernie Fletcher reappoints member to the Kentucky Advisory Council on Athletic Trainers

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Ernie Fletcher has reappointed Mary L. Ireland, M.D., of Lexington, to the Kentucky Advisory Council on Athletic Trainers.

Dr. Ireland is an orthopedic surgeon. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. Dr. Ireland has served on the council since August 1992 representing physicians.

The Kentucky Advisory Council on Athletic Trainers is made up of five gubernatorial appointees.  The council regulates and controls the licensing and conduct of athletic trainers within the commonwealth.
