Governor Ernie Fletcher names Teresa Hill PSC Commissioner
FRANKFORT, Ky. - Governor Ernie Fletcher announced today the appointment of Teresa J. Hill as commissioner to the Public Service Commission.
“Teresa has been a tremendous asset to my administration and will be a strong addition to the Public Service Commission,” Governor Ernie Fletcher said. “The PSC plays an important role because energy is such a key component in Kentucky’s economy.”
Hill most recently served as the assistant to the Governor for boards and commissions, which she began in December. Before that, Hill served as executive director of legal services for the Kentucky Commerce Cabinet.
A native of Whitley County, she currently lives in Frankfort.
Hill is a graduate of the Salmon P. Chase College of Law and Morehead State University. Before her work at the Kentucky Commerce Cabinet, Hill was in private law practice in Corbin, Ky. She is the daughter of James and Sandra Hill, also of Corbin.
“I am honored that Governor Fletcher is allowing me this new opportunity to serve the commonwealth as a commissioner for the Public Service Commission,” Hill said. “I will endeavor to live up to his high standards and expectations.
“It has been a wonderful experience working for Governor Fletcher in the office of Boards and Commissions and getting to know so many people across the state who volunteer their time and resources to serve the commonwealth as board members. Edwin Orange is an outstanding individual, and his experience in this office, combined with his unquestioned integrity and exemplary work ethic, will continue to serve the Governor well.”
