Governor Ernie Fletcher names Edwin Orange Assistant to Governor for Boards and Commissions
FRANKFORT, Ky. - Governor Ernie Fletcher announced today the appointment of Edwin Orange as the administration’s new assistant to the Governor for Boards and Commissions. Orange most recently served as deputy director of Boards and Commissions during the first 20 months of Governor Fletcher’s administration.
“During his time working in Boards and Commissions Edwin has proven to be effective and knowledgeable,” Governor Ernie Fletcher said. “The management of our Commonwealth’s boards and commissions is an important component to ensuring economic and educational opportunities for every Kentuckian.”
Orange is a native of Logan County and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky. Orange currently serves as the second vice chairman of the Friends of Kentucky 4-H. He is the son of Charles and Jo Orange of Russellville.
“I am honored that Governor Fletcher has placed this trust in me,” Orange said. “Citizen involvement in government is important. I am committed to ensuring that all of Kentucky is represented on these boards and commissions.”
Orange replaces Teresa Hill, who has been named commissioner to the Public Service Commission.
