FRANKFORT, Ky. – Are you interested in the latest news regarding education in Kentucky? Wanting to know what state roads are scheduled for repair in your county? Now the latest state government news is as close as your computer.
Governor Ernie Fletcher announces that Kentucky.gov, the official web site for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, has launched Commonwealth News Center, which features the latest news from all cabinets and agencies within state government. All state government news can be accessed on-line at http://kentucky.gov/Newsroom/.
“This new tool will allow our citizens direct access to news and information specific to their community and let’s them know their state government is working hard for them,” Governor Ernie Fletcher said.
Kentuckians can also get specific state government news sent directly to their e-mail by signing up for a FREE subscription to the Commonwealth News Center. Enrollment is easy and fast by going to http://www.kentucky.gov/Newsroom/subscriptioninformation.htm and following these instructions:
· Register with Kentucky.gov to create a single secure sign-on account
· During Step 6 of the registration process, answer “Yes” regarding signing up to subscribe to the Commonwealth News Center.
· Complete your subscription by selecting any of the agencies, topics, and delivery options you want to receive.
· Sit back and wait for the news to come to your e-mail inbox.
