Attorney General Jack Conway and his Department of Criminal Investigations (DCI) today announced the arrest of Ronald Peed Jr., 32, of Augusta in Bracken County, on 10 counts of possession of child pornography and one count of distribution of child pornography, all class D felony charges.

The arrest is the result of a joint investigation between DCI’s Cybercrimes Unit, a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) and the Westerville, Ohio police department. After identifying a computer IP address in Kentucky that was actively possessing and trading suspected child pornography, Westerville Police contacted DCI to provide information needed to move forward on a search warrant.  Kentucky State Police assisted in executing the search warrant. Troopers from the KSP Dry Ridge Post arrested Peed on Tuesday, May 19 at a residence in Foster, KY.

Peed is lodged in the Mason County Jail on $10,000 bond.  His arraignment date has not yet been set.

A charge is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
