Hardin County Man Indicted For Possession and Distribution of Child Pornography

Attorney General Jack Conway and his Cybercrimes Unit today announced the indictment of Dustin Edmonds, 18, of Elizabethtown, KY on charges related to the possession and distribution of child pornography. Edmonds was arrested by the Hardin County Sheriff’s Department and lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center on December 23, 2009.

A Hardin County grand jury indicted Edmonds on December 18 on three counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor and one count of distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor. All are class D felonies. Edmonds will be arraigned in Hardin Circuit Court on January 19, 2010 at 10 a.m.

The indictment and arrest of Edmonds stem from a nearly year-long investigation by General Conway’s Cybercrimes Unit, a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC). 

A charge is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
