First Lady Glenna Fletcher Was Guest Speaker At Kentucky Women In Agriculture Convention

Mrs. Fletcher named “Honorary Chair” for the Taste of Kentucky Reception.

Frankfort, KY:   First Lady Glenna Fletcher gave opening remarks Thursday evening for the Taste of Kentucky Reception at the Kentucky Women in Agriculture Convention. In its 5th year, the convention was held at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center in Louisville, KY.

Mrs. Fletcher commended the women on their success in agriculture and the importance as a role model for young women seeking a future in agriculture. “Women business owners in Kentucky are critically important to the economy in our Commonwealth,” stated Mrs. Fletcher. “It is a vital component of moving Kentucky to the next level. It is great to see their commitment to improving the lives of Kentucky women in agriculture.”

After speaking, the First Lady cut the ribbon to officially open the Taste of Kentucky reception. There were 38 tables with Kentucky vendors displaying their products for tasting, sampling and purchasing. Mrs. Fletcher enjoyed sampling food and talking to the vendors about their products.

The First Lady is a strong supporter of Kentucky women in business and also sits on the board for the Kentucky Commission on Women.
