| New 14 bed expansion increases treatment availability for women across the Commonwealth
Frankfort, KY: First Lady Glenna Fletcher gave opening remarks today at the grand opening of the new 14 bed expansion of Chrysalis House in Lexington, KY. Chrysalis House provides a full spectrum of programs and services, beginning with outreach and waiting list services and continuing through residential treatment, prevention services for clients’ children, aftercare, and permanent housing.
“Improving the lives of all Kentuckians by restoring hope and opportunity is one of our main focuses.” said Mrs. Fletcher. “A program such as Chrysalis House gives hope and opportunity to women who recover from their alcohol and other drug addictions. It makes a difference in their lives and in the lives of their children.”
Chrysalis House, Inc. provides comprehensive substance abuse treatment and support services in a long-term continuum of care to women and their children. Established in 1978, this award winning program has grown from one small facility to include a multitude of sites across the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Other guest speakers included Senator Jim Bunning, Dr. Westley Clark – Director for Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT), and David Hehman – President of Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati.
