Attorney General Stumbo to Monitor Election Activity
Attorney General Greg Stumbo announced today that his office will deploy teams of investigators to monitor election activity throughout the state on primary election day, May 16, 2006.
Suspicious activity may be reported by citizens to the attorney general’s office by calling the toll-free hotline at 1-800-328-8683.
“I will personally join KBI agents in the field on May 16th as my Office works to ensure the integrity of the primary elections,” Stumbo said. “We will have a strong presence across the state to provide front line enforcement of election laws.”
The Office of the Attorney General is coordinating efforts with the Kentucky State Police, United States Attorneys, the State Board of Elections and Secretary of State Trey Grayson.
