Attorney General Greg Stumbo, the City Of Florence and “Shred-It” Offer Free Shred Day In Florence On Thursday
In an ongoing effort to crack down on consumer identity theft, Attorney General Greg Stumbo in conjunction with the City of Florence and “Shred-it” today announced free document shredding available from 10am – 1pm in Florence, Kentucky on Thursday, December 13, 2007.
A press conference to kick off the “Free ‘Shred-it’ Day” will take place in Florence at 10am at the Florence Government Center, at 8100 Ewing Boulevard. Attorney General Greg Stumbo, Florence Mayor Diane Whalen, and Tim Lewis, with “Shred-it’ will be on hand. A mobile “Shred-it” truck will be stationed in the government center’s parking lot.
Victims of identity theft are encouraged to obtain an “ID Theft Victims Kit” on site or from the Office of the Attorney General by contacting the Office at 1-888-432-9257 or obtaining it online at http://ag.ky.gov/consumer/
