Attorney General Stumbo Offers Condolences to Families of Crash Victims at Blue Grass Airport

Attorney General Greg Stumbo today offers his sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims killed in the crash of Comair Flight 5191 at Blue Grass Airport in Lexington.

"This is a heartbreaking situation for the nation and particularly touches the citizens of the Commonwealth," said Attorney General Stumbo, who is also a pilot.  "I knew two people aboard that flight myself and am deeply saddened at this great loss." 

The commuter jet crashed during take off early today and burst into flames, killing 49 of the 50 people aboard. 

"I offer the resources of my office and the Kentucky Bureau of Investigation should there be anything our investigators can do to assist in this matter," Stumbo added.
