Wednesday, September 01, 2010 Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Commissioner Dr. Jon Gassett today issued a Wildlife Disaster Contingency Measure for Lake Cumberland which increases the creel limits and reduces size requirements for striped bass. Because of high water temperatures and low dissolved oxygen levels, striped bass are under severe stress and in some cases, dying.
- Governor Beshear Participates in Ribbon Cutting for Bruss North America’s Corporate Headquarters Expansion in Russell Springs
Wednesday, September 01, 2010 Joined by company and community leaders, Gov. Steve Beshear today participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commence the expansion of Bruss North America’s corporate headquarters in Russell Springs. The German-owned company, which specializes in the manufacturing of sealing systems for transmissions and engines, has invested $10 million and is currently in the process of adding more than 100 new jobs at the plant.
