Wednesday, April 17, 2013 The Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet is seeking public comment until May 24, 2013, on a draft report addressing E. coli and fecal coliform impairments in Carr Fork Watershed located in Knott County.
- Floyds Fork Technical Advisory Committee to meet Apriil 24
Thursday, March 28, 2013 The Floyds Fork Technical Advisory Committee will meet Wednesday, April 24, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. EDT at the Floyds Fork Water Quality Treatment Center located at 1100 Blue Heron Road in Louisville. The meeting will address high-level technical concepts regarding the development of nutrient total maximum daily loads (TMDLs) for Floyds Fork.
- Comments sought on wastewater lab certification program
Friday, March 15, 2013 The Kentucky Division of Water is seeking public comment until April 30 on a proposed administrative regulation establishing the Kentucky Wastewater Laboratory Certification Program. A public hearing will be held April 25 to allow interested persons to comment on the regulation, which was filed with the Legislative Research Commission March 14.

Wednesday, January 30, 2013 The Kentucky Division of Water (DOW) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 4 will conduct a public meeting Tuesday, Feb. 19, from 7 to 9 p.m. EST in the auditorium of Eastern High School, 12400 Old Shelbyville Road, Louisville.
The Floyds Fork Technical Advisory Committee will meet Wednesday, Feb. 20, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. EST at the offices of the United States Geological Survey (USGS) located at 9818 Bluegrass Parkway in Louisville.
- Division of Water clarifies requirements for utility construction near streams
Thursday, January 17, 2013 The Kentucky Division of Water (DOW) is issuing clarification of state certification requirements regarding the placement of utility lines near streams. Projects that typically require the acquisition of the Section 401 water quality certification include water, gas, oil and sewer line installations.
- $1.58 million available for watershed restoration
Friday, January 11, 2013 Grants totaling $1.58 million are available for projects that help clean up polluted streams, rivers, lakes and groundwater and for projects that protect water resources. The grants are for watershed restoration projects and for watershed plan development as well as for other projects that reduce and prevent runoff pollution.
