Mike Linnig's Restaurant to Host MusicFest April 28-May 13
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Mike Linnig’s Restaurant, currently open for its 83rd season, will celebrate a Louisville Derby tradition with a 3 week festival and entertainment tent located on its 25-acre property along the Ohio River. MusicFest will be held April 28 – May 13.
MusicFest will include entertainment by a variety of acts including bluegrass bands, karaoke competitions, special guest DJ’s and the Diane Moore Dancers. Otis Berry will be appearing as Elvis Presley and Hank Williams. The Okolona Street Rod Club will be hosting a Rod Roundup on Wednesday, May 9 featuring street rods, hot rods and classic cars. Entertainment also includes the Tom and Rockin’ Ricky Band, the Corn Island 7 Piece Bluegrass Band as well as Music Mix Entertainment from Nashville, Tenn.
Members of the Pleasure Ridge Park Fire Department will be working hard as waiters on May 11-13, and all tips will be donated to the Crusade for Children. They will also be raffling eight Autographed U of L Epiphone Electric Guitars donated by First Quality Music as well as a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle. All proceeds will go to the crusade.
