Secretary Grimes Reminds Kentuckians to Verify Updates to Voter Registration
Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes urges
voters who have recently updated their voter registration information,
including their name or address, to verify that the changes have been processed.
“Having up-to-date registration information is an
important step in making sure you’re eligible to vote,” said Grimes, Kentucky’s
chief election official. “I urge all voters to verify that their information is
correct so there are no surprises on Election Day.”
Notices are mailed to voters to confirm changes to
voter registration information. Anyone who has made changes but did not receive
a notice should check the Voter Information Center, https://vrsws.sos.ky.gov/vic/, or contact their county clerk to make sure the application has been processed.
Monday, Oct. 5 is the deadline to make changes to
voter registration information before the Nov. 3 General Election. County
clerks’ offices throughout Kentucky will accept voter registration cards until
the close of business on Oct. 5. Mail-in voter registration applications must
be postmarked by that date.
