Kentucky Scottish Weekend Selected For “Top Ten” Spring Events
FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Kentucky Scottish Weekend held in May at General Butler State Resort Park has been selected as a “Top Ten” event for spring by the Kentucky Tourism Council.
The event is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year from May 11-13. It is sponsored by the Kentucky Scottish Weekend, Inc., and the park at Carrollton. The weekend features dancing, music, athletic competitions, food and a gathering of the clans.
A panel of judges selects the “Top Ten” events each season. Criteria include popularity of the event, the impact on local tourism as well as cultural and historical significance.
