Author Linda J. Hawkins to Sign Books at Barren River Aug. 16
LUCAS, Ky. – Barren River Lake State Resort Park will host a book signing by Kentucky author Linda J. Hawkins on Saturday Aug. 16, 2008.
From 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Hawkins will autograph copies of her book The Unspoken Language of Fans & Flowers with Recipes. The book provides a glimpse into a past era when women used fans to send messages of enticement, love, rejection and other emotions.

Barren River Lake State Resort Park near Glasgow, Ky. features a lodge, cottages, gift shop and the Driftwood restaurant. Activities include a golf course, fitness center, fishing, hiking and picnicking.
The park is located 1149 State Park Rd. in Lucas, Ky., 44 miles southeast of Bowling Green. Take I-65 to the Cumberland Parkway east, to U.S. 31E south.
