Rough River Dam Offers Special Rate To Celebrate Heritage Trail

FALLS OF ROUGH, Ky. – Rough River Dam State Resort Park is offering a special lodging rate to celebrate the opening of the Rough River Lake Heritage Trail.

 

The heritage trail is a driving trail that allows guests to visit historical or cultural sites in Grayson and Breckinridge counties. The trail kickoff is May 19.

 

Rough River Dam State Resort Park is one of the heritage trail sites. As part of the kickoff, the park is offering lodge rooms for $59 a night (plus tax) Sunday through Thursday in May and June. Call 1-800-325-1713 for reservations and information. A presentation on the history of the state park will be given at 11 a.m. May 19 at the park.

The park is on KY 79 near Leitchfield. From the Western Kentucky Parkway, exit on KY 79 north from Caneyville or exit on KY 259 N at Leitchfield and travel to the park via KY 54 from Leitchfield. Driving south, take KY 79 south from Hardinsburg and U.S. 60.
