Great American Dulcimer Convention at Pine Mountain Sept. 25-26
PINEVILLE, Ky. – Pine Mountain State Resort Park will be hosting the Great American Dulcimer Convention Sept. 25-26.
Mountain traditions abound this weekend as the sweet music of Appalachian lap and hammered dulcimers softly chime in the hands of some of the finest performers in the country. Delight to lively, entertaining evening concerts and participate in one-of-a-kind lesson workshops in the midst of legendary dulcimer artists.
Packages that include lodging and meals are still available.
The program begins Friday at 8 p.m. with a concert by Anne MacFie, Jim Miller and Fred Meyer, Vera Frazier, the Gallier Trio, Jeffrey Miller, Heidi Muller & Bob Webb.
Dulcimer classes will be Saturday morning and the afternoon includes a jam, sing along and open stage. The Saturday evening concert is at 8 p.m.

Pine Mountain, located in Southeastern Kentucky, features a 30-room lodge, cottages, a restaurant, a convention center, Wasioto Winds Golf Course, an interpretative center, hiking trails, and nature and recreational programming. Pine Mountain State Resort is located one mile south of Pineville on US 25E.
