Kentucky Young Writers’ Connection At Jefferson Davis State Historic Site May 7

FAIRVIEW, Ky. -- Jefferson Davis State Historic Site and the Kentucky Young Writers’ Connection is co-sponsoring the 1st Arts in the Parks Summer Writing Workshop on May 7, 2011 from 1-9 p.m.

 

This day-long program allows the participant to explore their creative side within the natural wonders of the park.  Learn how to develop a short story through the writing process from brainstorming to a well written story. Come out and celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War with unique insight on the life of Jefferson Davis, President of the Confederate States of America.

 

The workshop is for 3rd graders through the 12th grade and adults.  There is a $12 fee for the workshop and the registration for this event is open through April 30, 2011.

Jefferson Davis State Historic Site is a memorial to the famous Kentuckian born on this site on June 3, 1808. Jefferson Davis State Historic Site is located just off Highway 68/80 in Fairview, Ky.
