Dale Hollow Hosts Buffalo Dinner
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park near Burkesville will offer several distinctive entrées during a special dinner scheduled for April 8.
It’s native buffalo, prepared in a variety of ways. Diners may enjoy round of native buffalo, carved on line, as well as three other dishes featuring buffalo – barbecue, meat loaf, and chili.
If buffalo isn’t to your taste, the park will serve fried chicken and catfish and hush puppies. Side orders will include baked beans and fried potatoes, along with a salad and dessert bar, cornbread and rolls.
Dinner will be served from 5 to 9 p.m. CST. The cost is $15.95 plus tax for adults, $7.95 for children.
The Kentucky State Park System is composed of 52 state parks plus an interstate park shared with Virginia. The Department of Parks, an agency of the Commerce Cabinet, operates 17 resort parks with lodges -- more than any other state.
