Smoky Bridge High Line Ride May 2 at Carter Caves
OLIVE HILL, Ky. – Carter Caves State Resort Park will host the Smoky Bridge High Line Ride on May 2.
The 200-foot zipline will stretch over a gorge near the park lodge. Guests will be strapped in for a ride to remember as you drop 40 feet and cruise by the park’s largest natural arch, Smoky Bridge.
Make sure to bring your camera for great photo opportunities.
For your safety and comfort, there is a weight limit of 250 pounds. Participants must also fit in the harness. The high line will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and your ticket will have a time listed.
Tickets cost $15 a person. One ride per ticket. There are limited tickets available. Tickets go on sale Monday, April 20, at the front desk of the lodge or by calling 800-325-0059. Follow signs from the lobby to the attraction site after you pick up your tickets from the front desk.
Carter Caves State Resort Park is located at 344 Caveland Drive in Olive Hill. The park has a lodge with a restaurant, cottages and campground. Besides cave tours, activities include hiking, swimming, boating and fishing.
The park is located off Interstate 64 at Exit 161. Take U.S. 60 east. Go approximately 2 miles and turn left on KY 182 north. The park entrance is 3 miles from the left turn onto KY 182 north.
