Rook Tournament Planned at Buckhorn Lake Feb. 28-March 1
BUCKHORN, Ky. – Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park in Perry County will hold a Rook tournament the weekend of Feb. 28-March 1.
An overnight package for two is being offered for $250. It includes two nights’ lodging, games throughout the weekend and lunch and dinner on Saturday and lunch on Sunday.
Trophies will be presented to the top winners, with a gift certificate for a one-night stay in the park lodge to the overall winners. Registration for the tournament will occur when reservations are made.

Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park is on KY Hwy 1833. The resort is 25 miles northwest of Hazard, within the Elk Corridor. Buckhorn Lake features a lodge with 36 rooms, cottages, a convention center, Bowlingtown Country Kitchen Restaurant and gift shop. The park is located in 856 scenic acres on a 1,200-acre lake with boating and fishing, tennis courts, two miles of hiking trails and other recreational activities.
