Transportation Cabinet Announces New Deputy Director of Public Affairs
Governor Ernie Fletcher and Acting Transportation Cabinet Secretary Bill Nighbert have appointed Shaunee Lynch to serve as the Deputy Executive Director of the Office of Public Affairs.
“I would like to express my sincerest appreciation to Governor Fletcher and Secretary Nighbert for this opportunity to serve,” said Ms. Lynch. “I am extremely excited and look forward to working with a team who is striving to enhance the quality of life for all Kentuckians.”
Ms. Lynch has an Integrated Strategic Communications Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of Kentucky. Her degree emphasis is on public relations, marketing, account management and advertising. In addition, Ms. Lynch has a Minor degree in African American Studies. Before joining the Fletcher Administration, she worked as an Aid to the Urban County Council in Lexington, KY.
“Shaunee is an exceptional person,” stated Doug Hogan, Executive Director of Public Affairs. “Her knowledge, experience and leadership skills will certainly prove to be an asset for our office, the cabinet and the Fletcher administration.”
The Office of Public affairs is charged with handling transportation-related media and public communications, promotional campaigns, special events, educational materials and the cabinet’s website.
Ms. Lynch is a native of Christian County and currently resides in Lexington, KY.
