KY 11 Resurfacing Scheduled to Begin


LEXINGTON, KY  (October 2, 2006) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways announces that the resurfacing of KY 11 in Montgomery County is scheduled to begin this week.


The $589,862 project provides for the resurfacing of KY 11 from milepoint 10.007 to the Bath County Line (MP 15.363) and was awarded to The Walker Company of Mt. Sterling.  The project has a completion date of October 30, 2006.


Motorists can expect delays in this area and will be subject to alternating lane closure throughout the duration of the project.  The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks that motorists use extreme caution when traveling through the work zone. 


All work is scheduled on a tentative basis and is subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
