Interstate 64 Ramp Closure Traffic Advisory
Louisville, KY (November 1, 2005) - The District 5 Department of Highways office in Louisville announces the temporary closure of the eastbound Interstate 64 exit ramp to I-264 east, the Shawnee Expressway in Metro Louisville, scheduled for Tuesday, November 1, 2005 has been postponed. This ramp closure, at mile point .82, will now begin Thursday, November 3 at 7:00 p.m. and end Friday, Nov. 4 at 5:00 a.m. and allow for pavement repair.
Motorists are urged to be cautious and reduce speed. Stay alert and minimize distractions, and keep a safe distance between your vehicle, the car ahead, and the workers and their equipment. This is a reminder we must all help reduce the number of highway work zone accidents and fatalities. Slow Down to Get There!
