September 8, 2005 - The District 5 Department of Highways office in Louisville announces temporary lane closures on Interstate 65 on the John F. Kennedy Bridge over the Ohio River in  Louisville Metro, Friday, September 9  through Sunday, September 11, 2005.  These temporary lane closures, between mile points 136 and 137, are part of the bridge painting project. 

 

  • northbound, 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. midnight,  Friday, Sept. 9
  • southbound, 11:00 p.m. Friday, Sept 9  to 4:00 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10
  • southbound,  11:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10 to 7:00 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 11

 

Motorists are urged to be cautious and reduce speed.  Stay alert and minimize distractions, and keep a safe distance between your vehicle, the car ahead, and the construction workers and their equipment.  This is a reminder we must all help reduce the number of highway work zone accidents and fatalities.  Slow Down to Get There!
