Governor Fletcher and Transportation Cabinet announce $52,722 in County Road Aid Emergency Funding to Henry County Fiscal Court
LOUISVILLE, KY - (February 17, 2006) Governor Ernie Fletcher and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announces emergency road funding for the Henry County Fiscal Court. The county has been authorized to receive $52,722 for a bridge on Six Mile Creek Road (CR 1114).
"This project is just one example of the cabinet’s commitment to recognizing a problem and taking action for a solution," said acting Secretary Bill Nighbert. "These emergency funds are being used to improve safety and mobility in Henry County." The Governor has directed our cabinet to improve efficiency and maximize the value taxpayers get out of every dollar. We are using those guiding principals on projects both large and small."
County Road Aid Emergency Funds will be used for this project. The county is responsible for all phases of the work, which is located at Six Mile Creek Road over Hances Branch, 1.7 miles west of KY 389. A check will be issued directly to the county as payment for the project. Work is scheduled to begin this spring.
