MEDIA ADVISORY
MANCHESTER, KY. ---(June 12, 2007)— The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announces a PCC pavement project at the Cumberland Gap Tunnel in Bell County beginning Monday, June 25, 2007.
The Southbound tunnel will be closed to all traffic with the Northbound tunnel serving two-way traffic during construction.
A reduced speed limit of 25 MPH will be enforced within the work zone. The actual starting date and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
No wide loads will be allowed during construction.
This project will remain active through August 2007.
EXPECT DELAYS AND WATCH FOR SLOWED/STOPPED TRAFFIC
