JACKSON, KY – (May 2, 2006) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reopened KY 699 in Perry County to normal traffic at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2. The road had been closed in the Leatherwood area for two weeks due to a mudslide.

Some cleanup work remains to be done in the area, so drivers will continue to experience delays and some possible lane closures for the next few days. Motorists should "Drive Smart" and be on the lookout for flaggers, workers, equipment and traffic control devices while the work continues.
