Kentucky Arts Council offers scholarships to national arts and disability conference

FRANKFORT, Ky. — The Kentucky Arts Council is offering a limited number of scholarships for administrators of Kentucky arts and cultural organizations wanting to attend the Leadership Exchange in Arts and Disability (LEAD). The scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis during the application period July 15 – 30. Go to http://artscouncil.ky.gov/forms/LEAD2011.htm to access the application.
The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts will present LEAD Aug. 17 – 20, 2011, at the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts in Louisville.
LEAD is the premier professional gathering of cultural administrators engaging in conversation about accessibility, disability, technology and the federal law.
Conference topics include:
• Legal issues for cultural administrators • Web and social media accessibility • Fundraising • Access technology updates • Evaluating inclusive arts-based experiences • Staff and volunteer training
