FRANKFORT, Ky. The governing board of the Kentucky Arts Council will hold its quarterly board meeting at 12:00 noon (EDT), Thursday, June 19, 2008 at the Morehead Recreation, Tourism and Convention Center, 111 East First Street, Morehead, KY.

 

Kentucky Arts Council board members are Todd P. Lowe, Chair, Louisville; Everett D. McCorvey, Vice-Chair, Lexington; Sonya Baker, Murray; Wilma Brown, Danville; Zev Buffman, Owensboro; Jean Dorton, Paintsville; Paul Fourshee, Cadiz; Ronald Johnson, Ft. Mitchell: H. Dean Jones, II, Owensboro; Kelly G. Knight, Lexington; Ed Lane, Lexington; Gail Russell, Louisville; Ann Duggins Schell, Louisville; Gregory S. Shumate, Fort Mitchell; Retha Tarter, Madisonville; Randall C. Vaughn, Lexington; and James R. Voyles, Louisville.

 

All Kentucky Arts Council board meetings are open to the public.

 

The Kentucky Arts Council is a state agency in the Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet that creates opportunities for Kentuckians to value, participate in and benefit from the arts. Kentucky Arts Council funding is provided by the Kentucky State Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts, which believes that a great nation deserves great art.
