Kentucky Arts Council selects Berea photographer as featured artist
Kentucky photographer David Zurick, of Berea, has been selected as the Kentucky Arts Council's featured artist for January.
Academically trained as a geographer, Zurick uses his background to take stunning photographs of cultural and environmental landscapes around the world. Zurick is a two-time recipient of the Kentucky Arts Council's Al Smith Visual Artist Fellowship, and his work has won numerous awards including the National Outdoor Book Award in 2006. His most recent book, "Land of Pure Vision," is the culmination of 10 years of work documenting the sacred geography of Tibet and the Himalayas.
