Governor's Derby Exhibit open to Kentucky artists
FRANKFORT, Ky. — On behalf of Gov. Steve Beshear and First Lady Jane Beshear, the Kentucky Arts Council is coordinating the selection and installation of a special exhibit of visual arts to be on display in the Capitol April 1 – May 10, 2011, in conjunction with the Governor's Derby Celebration activities.
All Kentucky artists are invited to submit up to six digital images of original, two-dimensional work focused on the theme “Springtime in Kentucky.” The deadline for submission of digital images and entry forms is March 4, 2011.

The Kentucky Arts Council, the state arts agency, creates opportunities for Kentuckians to value, participate in and benefit from the arts. Kentucky Arts Council funding is provided by the Kentucky General Assembly and the National Endowment for the Arts.
