FRANKFORT, Ky. The Kentucky Arts Council will present information sessions to introduce the state's arts grants and programs to performing, visual, craft, media, literary and teaching artists in all disciplines, as well as choreographers and composers. The sessions, "Call to Kentucky Artists: Exploring Arts Grants and Programs," will be conducted in Horse Cave, Paducah, Lexington, Covington and Louisville.

"Many Kentucky artists are not aware of the programs being offered by the arts council to assist in the marketing and promotion of their work, or the training available to build arts businesses," says Lori Meadows, executive director of the Kentucky Arts Council.  "Others may have heard about our grants or programs, but have no idea about how to apply.  We hope to assist working artists in all disciplines in building their careers."

"Call to Kentucky Artists: Exploring Arts Grants and Programs" is free and open to the public. Accessibility services for this meeting are available with prior request to the Kentucky Arts Council at (888) 833-2787 or kyarts@ky.gov.

The Kentucky Arts Council is a state agency in the Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet that creates opportunities for Kentuckians to value, participate in and benefit from the arts. Kentucky Arts Council funding is provided by the Kentucky General Assembly and the National Endowment for the Arts, which believes that a great nation deserves great art.
