Kentucky Arts Council Meets in Louisville

(Frankfort, KY ) —The governing board of the Kentucky Arts Council will hold its regular quarterly meeting on Friday December 12, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. EST.  The meeting will be held at the The Collaborative for Teaching and Learning, 2303 River Road, Suite 100, Spring River Business Park, Louisville, Kentucky.

Kentucky Arts Council board members are Janrose Tunnell, Chair, Richmond; Ann Duggins Schell, Vice-chair, Louisville; Stephanie C. Bateman, Louisville; Thomas H. Bonny, Irvine; Nancy S. Cooper, Fort Thomas; Mary Michael Corbett, Louisville; Paul E. Fourshee, Cadiz; Jennifer S. Maddux, Pembroke; Charles R. Manchester, Paducah; Larry May, Benham; Everett D. McCorvey, Lexington; Suzanne Rutledge, Somerset; Pamela Papka Sexton, Lexington; Kathleen Smith, Louisville; Roanne H. Victor, Louisville; and Jean Yewell, Owensboro. 

The Kentucky Arts Council is a state agency in the Education, Arts and Humanities Cabinet, established by the Kentucky General Assembly in 1965 by executive order to develop and promote support for the arts in Kentucky.  The Arts Council provides grants, awards and technical assistance to Kentucky artists, not-for-profit organizations, local governments and schools committed to providing arts and cultural programs and services to the public, contingent upon budgetary action of the Kentucky General Assembly and Partnership Agreement Grant funds from the National Endowment for the Arts.
