Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority
College-planning publication available
Kentuckians planning for higher education will find The College Circuit, a booklet published by the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA), to be a useful resource.
The 36-page booklet is suitable for students from middle school to adults. Parents and counselors may also use it to help their students. The College Circuit includes information about careers, college preparation, student financial aid and financial literacy.
The College Circuit was well received at a national conference in September, and college access providers from other states were impressed by the quality and content of the booklet. School counselors in Kentucky have had the same response.
“With the vast responsibilities of high school guidance counselors, The College Circuit has proven to be a complete, student-friendly guide for helping students transition to either the work force or postsecondary education,” said Dana Young, a counselor at Taylor County High School (TCHS).
Keith Benningfield, another TCHS counselor, added that he and Young certainly appreciate this free publication to use with their students in a time with limited funds.
Copies of The College Circuit are free. To request copies, please e-mail publications@kheaa.com or use the order form on www.kheaa.com.
