The Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea is the focus of an article in the December issue of Southern Living, a magazine that has been showcasing and promoting the rich array of traditions, destinations, culture and beauty of the American South in its pages since 1966. With a circulation of 1.7 million, Southern Living is a publication that any Center would give an eye tooth to be featured in.
The Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea’s article was the result of a writer’s wonderful experience visiting the Center. Finding great gifts, delicious food, and a shopper’s dream of gift selections - from music, to books, to crafts- the writer decided to share her experience with others who might travel to Kentucky.
The article talks about how travelers on I-75 can take a break from the Interstate, come to the beautiful Kentucky Artisan Center, and open the door to all the amazing and beautiful works created by Kentucky’s people. The Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea is located just off Interstate 75 at exit 77 (Berea). The Center’s exhibits, shopping, and travel information areas are open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and the café from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Admission is free. The Center currently features works by more than 470 artisans from all across the Commonwealth.
