BEREA, Ky. (November 22, 2004) -- On Saturday, November 27, Jennifer Rose of Berea, will sing and play guitar and Appalachian dulcimer from 11:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea.

Growing up among a family of singers and dancers in Berea, Jennifer Rose learned to sing and create music early in her childhood. With a degree in vocal music from Berea College, Jennifer unites her musical training with her regional heritage to give listeners rich Appalachian singing. Her clear soprano voice, guitar, and mountain dulcimer playing has been enchanting audiences far and wide. Jennifer gives performances, leads workshops and works in schools in conjunction with the Kentucky Arts Council’s Artist in the Education programs.

Jennifer Rose’s musical recordings are regularly available at the KY Artisan Center and her most recent release is entitled "Christmas at Home." On Saturday, November 27, Jennifer will be singing a variety of selections from her recordings.  

The Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea is located just off Interstate 75 at exit 77 (Berea). The Center’s exhibits, shopping, and travel information areas are all open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and the café from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Admission is free. The Center currently features works by more than 460 artisans from all across the Commonwealth.
