Department to hold public meeting Nov. 18 to discuss Cave Run Lake fishing
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Anglers
can learn more about Cave Run Lake’s fish habitat project, get the latest
survey reports, and gain a better understanding of how these relate to the
lake’s bass management strategy during a public meeting being held Nov. 18 in
Run Lake, which is located just west of Morehead, has a major project underway
to improve fishing by increasing the amount of habitat available for fish.
Creel surveys of Cave Run Lake anglers conducted this year gave fisheries
managers with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources valuable
input about managing the lake for black bass and other sportfish.
public meeting will feature updates on these issues for anglers and anyone who
enjoys the lake.
meeting will be held from 7-9 p.m. (Eastern time) at the Morehead Conference
Center, located at 111 East First St.
