One of three ramps at Cedar Creek Lake to close temporarily for Oct. 25 foot race
FRANKFORT, Ky. – One
of three boat ramps at Cedar Creek Lake in Lincoln County will temporarily
close to boat launching to provide a safer course for a foot race planned for
closure of the John Sims Boat Ramp, located nearest the dam, will aid safety by
reducing traffic along the 19.65-mile Brickhouse Between-a-thon race course.
ramp will close from 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, through 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25.
Anglers with trailers in the parking lot will still be able to retrieve their
boats and leave during the closure.
Creek Lake’s other two boat ramps will remain open. The mid-lake ramp is
located off old U.S. 150, while the third ramp is located off Cowan Road.
Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife is working with Lincoln County
officials on the ramp closure to help support tourism in the area.
