| FRANKFORT, Ky. (March 5, 2004) – Children ages 5 to 10 and their families can participate in a History Zone program, “Herstory Quilt Squares,” that will be held at the Kentucky History Center each Saturday in March. Participants will create a quilt block inspired by Jane Burch Cochran’s unique quilt, “Coming Home: Kentucky Women Quilt,” in honor of Women’s History Month and National Craft Month. Cochran’s quilt will be on display at the History Center, beginning March 8.
History Zones are free and participants can drop in anytime between 1 – 4 p.m. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Groups of 10 or more must register in advance by calling (502) 564-1792, ext. 4424.
