FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Steve Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:

Gov. Beshear has appointed Talia L. Weinberg to the State Board of Physical Therapy to serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2019.

·         Talia L. Weinberg, of Lexington, is a physical therapist at Brookdale Senior Living. The appointment replaces Charles M. Clark, whose term has expired.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed Linda M. Pillow to the board to serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2019.

·         Linda M. Pillow, of Bowling Green, is a physical therapist at HCR Manor Care.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Tonita P. Goodwin to the Kentucky Chemical Demilitarization Citizens Advisory Commission.

·         Tonita P. Goodwin, of Richmond, is director of industrial development for the City of Richmond. The appointment replaces James R. Miller, who is deceased.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the Kentucky Grape and Wine Council to serve for terms expiring Jan. 1, 2019:

·         Logan L. Leet, of Lawrenceburg, works at Leet Family Vineyards and represents winery operators. 

·         Roger L. Leasor, of Lexington, is president of Liquor Barn. He represents citizens at large.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Rep. Tanya Pullin to the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children to serve for a term concurrent with the Governor.

·         Rep. Tanya Pullin, of South Shore, represents the legislative branch. The appointment replaces Robert R. Damron.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Jeffrey I. Rogers to the Interstate Commission for Adult Offender Supervision to serve for a term expiring Sept. 6, 2018.

·         Jeffrey I. Rogers, of Frankfort, is a consultant. He represents members at large. The appointment replaces V. Lee Alcott, whose term has expired.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the council to serve for terms expiring Sept. 6, 2018:

·         Connie M. Payne, of Lexington, is employed by the Administrative Office of the Courts and represents the judicial branch.

·         Lewis G. Paisley, of Lexington, is a retired judge and an attorney at Stoll, Keenon, Ogden PLLC. He represents members at large

Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Local Distribution Fund Oversight Committee to serve for terms expiring Jan. 1, 2018:

·         Carolyn C. Jones, of Owingsville, is chief financial officer at the Kentucky Association of Counties. She represents the Kentucky Association of Counties. The appointment replaces Henry W. Bertram, whose term has expired.

·         James M. See, of Louisa, is a retired accountant and is chairman of the Lawrence County Board of Education. He represents the Kentucky School Boards Association. The appointment replaces William J. Eaton, whose term has expired.

·         Nora Hatton, of Willisburg, is department chair and assistant professor at St. Catherine College, and is a member of the Washington County Board of Education. She represents the Kentucky School Boards Association. The appointment replaces Sara E. Farris, whose term has expired.

·         Marvin Moore, of Morehead, is superintendent for Rowan County Schools. He represents the Kentucky Association of School Administrators. The appointment replaces Robert L. Rogers, whose term has expired.

·         Darrell L. Link, of Williamstown, is executive director at the Kentucky Council on Area Development Districts. He represents special districts other than school districts. The appointment replaces Randy K. Stevens, whose term has expired.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the committee to serve for terms expiring Jan. 1, 2018:

·         George V. Lang, of Frankfort, is executive director of Kentucky County Judge-Executive Association. He represents the Kentucky Association of Counties.

·         George C. Cheatham is mayor of the City of Greensburg. Mayor Cheatham represents the Kentucky League of Cities.

·         Stan Holmes is a city council member for the City of Radcliff. He represents the Kentucky League of Cities.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the Hazard Community and Technical College Nominating Commission to serve for terms expiring April 15, 2018:

·         Denise M. Davidson, of Hazard, is an attorney at Davidson and Associates.

·         Alois McIntyre Moore, of Hazard, is a broker and owner of Moore Real Estate.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Commonwealth Council on Developmental Disabilities to serve for terms expiring July 16, 2016.

·         Leigh Ann Edwards, of Bowling Green, is a vocational evaluator and counselor at Lifeskills Inc. She represents individuals with developmental disabilities. The appointment replaces Tina G. Jackson, who has resigned.

·         Brian Samuels Jr., of Louisville. He represents individuals with developmental disabilities. The appointment replaces Julia E. Steinman, who has resigned.

·         Annette Jett, of Lexington, is a special education parent liaison at Fayette County Schools. She represents parents or guardians of individuals with developmental disabilities. The appointment replaces Debra S. McMurray, who has resigned.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Franklin County Judge-Executive Huston D. Wells to the Kentucky River Authority to serve for a term expiring Sept. 18, 2018.

·         Franklin County Judge-Executive Huston D. Wells, of Frankfort, represents county judge-executives. The appointment replaces Ted Collins, whose term has expired.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Benjamin D. Peterson to the Kentucky Environmental Quality Commission to serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Jan. 1, 2018.

·         Benjamin D. Peterson, of Benton, is a GIS specialist and planner for City of Paducah. The appointment replaces Mark D. Grisham.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Harrison County Judge-Executive Alex Barnett to the Kentucky Livestock Care Standards Commission to serve for a term expiring Aug. 19. 2018.

·         Harrison County Judge-Executive Alex Barnett, of Cynthiana, represents the Kentucky County Judge-Executives Association. The appointment replaces Darrell L. Link, whose term has expired.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed Warren G. Anderson to the commission to serve for a term expiring Aug. 19, 2018.                         

·         Warren G. Anderson, of Hustonville, is a farmer and sheep producer. He represents citizens at large.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the Kentucky Tobacco Research Board to serve for terms expiring July 15, 2016:

·         Roger Thomas, of Smiths Grove, is executive director of the Governor’s Office of Agricultural Policy and director of the Governor’s Office of Legislative Services.

·         Brian Scott Travis, of Coxs Creek, is a self-employed farmer.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Michael David Prater to the School Facilities Construction Commission to serve for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2020.

·         Michael David Prater, of Lexington, is a self-employed investment adviser. The appointment replaces Bernard J. Sandfoss, whose term has expired.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the commission to serve for terms expiring Dec. 31, 2020:

·         James L. Stevens, of Dawson Springs, is superintendent for Hopkins County Schools.

·         Donald W. Pace, of Winchester, is superintendent for the Clark County School System.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed Judy B. Long to the Kentucky Workers’ Compensation Funding Commission Board of Directors to serve for a term expiring Nov. 18, 2018.

·         Judy B. Long, of Versailles, is a senior claims consultant at Healthsmart Casualty Claims Solutions. She represents self-insured employers.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Loren G. Nelson to the Hemophilia Advisory Committee to serve for a term expiring Nov. 30, 2018.

·         Loren G. Nelson, of Crestwood, is a chronic disease educator at Norton Healthcare. She represents the Kentucky Hospital Association. The appointment replaces Robert T. Means, whose term has expired.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed Vivek R. Sharma to the committee to serve for a term expiring Nov. 30, 2018.

·         Vivek R. Sharma, of Louisville, is a physician at the University of Louisville. He represents health care providers.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the Agriculture Water Quality Authority to serve for terms expiring Oct. 1, 2018:

·         Delmar Lee Robey III, of Adairville, is owner of Robey Farms. He represents environmental organizations.

·         Kevin R. Jeffries, of Crestwood, is a self-employed farmer. He represents members at large from agriculture operations.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Constantine William Curris as a member of the Education Commission of the States.

·         Constantine William Curris, of Lexington, is president emeritus of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities. He shall serve at the pleasure of the Governor.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the KASPER Advisory Council, to serve for terms expiring Nov. 4, 2018:

·         Jeffrey W. Danhauer, of Owensboro, is a pharmacist at Danhauer Drug Store. He represents pharmacists. Danhauer replaces Kelly L. Whitaker, whose term has expired.

·         William P. Mattingly, of Lebanon, is a pharmacist at Pat’s Pharmacy Inc. He represents pharmacists. Mattingly replaces Jackson M. Bray, whose term has expired.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Lisa J. Haydon to the Kentucky Lottery Corp. Board of Directors to serve a term expiring Nov. 28, 2018.

·         Lisa J. Haydon, of Springfield, is a retired social worker. She replaces Keith D. Griffee, whose term has expired.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed Tilford R. Richardson to the Kentucky Lottery Corp. Board of Directors for a term expiring Nov. 28, 2018.

·         Tilford R. Richardson, of Crescent Springs, is an engineer and developer.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Kelly D. Workman to the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of Kentucky, to serve the remainder of the unexpired term ending Jan. 1, 2016.

·         Kelly D. Workman, of Paducah, is a teacher. She replaces Alice L. Pitchford, who resigned.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the commission to serve for terms expiring Jan. 1, 2018:

·         Nita H. Smith, of Lexington, is business manager for Dr. Steven Croley.

·         John H. Roberts, of Lexington, is an insurance agent with Roberts Insurance.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Barry W. Stotts as a member of the Fish and Wildlife Resources Commission, representing the 4th Fish and Wildlife District.

·         Barry W. Stotts, of Columbia, is employed by Stotts Construction. He replaces James R. Angel. Stotts shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Aug. 13, 2017.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Real Estate Appraisers Board, to serve for terms expiring Nov. 12, 2017:

·         Dann Cann, of Leitchfield, is a real estate appraiser and represents real estate appraisers. Cann replaces George H. Pritchett, whose term has expired.

·         William J. Fultz, of Richmond, is a banker with Central Bank and represents the lending industry. He replaces Sam Blackburn, whose term has expired.
